Hey, I'm Sydney! Thank you for supporting my small business. Mother of Clay is where I exhibit and sell handcrafted jewelry, homegoods, and gifts. I especially enjoy making detailed, one-of-a-kind pieces.
I'm a full-time mom and lifelong crafter. Over the years, I've tried everything from watercolors to bead weaving to fused and stained glass and more. My brain requires creative expression to stay healthy.
I started experimenting with polymer clay in the fall of 2020. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was a ceramics student loving every minute I worked with clay. When the pandemic temporarily closed my studio, I sought a lockdown-friendly creative outlet in polymer clay. I now create both polymer clay and ceramic pieces.
Nowadays I spend evenings after my kids' bedtime creating from the comfort of my basement or at two local studios in Bloomington. I try my best to keep my social channels up to date, but in-person events are my favorite way to share my work. I hope to see you at a future market!
